THE EFFECT OF THE MIXED EDUCATION STRATEGY ON THE ACHIEVEMENT OF BIOLOGY SUBJECT FOR FIFTH-CLASS STUDENTS

The aim of the current research is to identify the effect of the mixed education strategy on the achievement of biology subject for fifth-grade students. To achieve the research goal, the following zero hypothesis was developed:-There is no statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.05) between the average scores of students of the experimental group who are studying the mixed education strategy, and the average scores of students of the control group who study in the usual way in the final achievement test for biology. The research was conducted on fifth-grade students in Menat Al-Manan High School for Boys / Baghdad Directorate of Education, the third Rusafa. The sample was divided into two groups (experimental and control). Equivalencies were conducted with a number of variables (testing previous information in biology, and biology grades for the first and second semesters of the academic year (2017-2018). The experimental group studied the mixing education strategy, as the number of its students reached (13) students, and the number of the control group students (13) students was studied in the usual way. The research requirements were prepared, which included the identification of the scientific material, the formulation of behavioral purposes, and the preparation of daily teaching plans for students of the two research groups (experimental and control). The research tools included an achievement test in biology, as the test consisted of (50) items and its stability and psychometric properties were extracted, as the researcher applied his research tools after completing the research experiment. The results of the research were extracted after the completion of the experiment by means of the Statistical Bag for Social Sciences (spss). The results of the research showed that the experimental group students outperformed the achievement test in biology subject. In light of these results, several conclusions have been proposed, the most important of which are: the effect of the mixed education strategy on the achievement of biology for fifth-grade students, and teaching with the mixed education strategy gives the teaching a positive role away from the method of indoctrination. The researcher recommended a number of recommendations, the most important of which are: urging science teachers in general and biology teachers in particular to use mixed education in teaching as one of the modern education strategies that work to achieve many of the goals of biology teaching, in addition to directing science teachers to follow the teaching methods associated with educational technology that make The student is active and active in the educational process. To complement the current research, the researcher suggested: conducting studies using mixed education in teaching for other stages and subjects and for other study variables.
